- This scholarship is open to students who have passed the class 12 examination from the Jammu and Kashmir Board or CBSE-affiliated schools in J&K.
- The student is required to pursue a General, Professional, or Medical degree course from a pre-determined list of colleges.
- The students must wish to take admission outside the Jammu & Kashmir state only.
- The annual income of the student’s family should be less than ₹8,00,000. Also, students who have completed a 10+3 Diploma from Jammu & Kashmir State Polytechnics can apply directly for the vacancies in the second year.

Post Matric Scholarship Scheme for Jammu and Kashmir ST Students
- The students must be residing in Jammu & Kashmir.
- The applicant must be from the Scheduled Tribe (ST) category.
- Candidates must be students from class 11 to postdoctoral level.
- Additionally, students must belong to a family whose income does not exceed ₹2,00,000 per annum from all sources.
Combined Counselling Board (CCB) Jammu and Kashmir Scholarship
Students studying at college or university level (pursuing diploma, degree, or postgraduate level courses) can apply for this scholarship. Students must have secured at least 40% to 50% marks in the previous examination.
