Eligibility Criteria for PSTET 2024

Age Limit:
No Age limit is required to apply for the Punjab State Teacher Eligibility Test (PSTET). All candidates are eligible to apply for the PSTET Exam 2024.

- General, OBC:
- For Paper-I, the fee is Rs. 600/-.
- For both Paper-I and Paper-II, the fee is Rs. 1200/-.
- SC, ST, PH:
- For applicants from SC, ST, or PH categories, the fee for Paper-I is Rs. 300/-.
- For both Paper-I and Paper-II, the fee is Rs. 600/-.

Educational Qualification:
To be eligible for Paper I and Paper II, candidates must have one of the following qualifications:
For Paper I Classes I-V:
- Candidates must have Senior Secondary with at least 45% marks and completed or 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education.
- Senior Secondary with at least 50% marks and completed or pursuing a 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed).
- Senior Secondary with 50% marks and completed or pursuing a 2-year Diploma in Education (Special Education).
- Graduates with 50% marks and a B.Ed degree.
For Paper II Classes VI-VIII:
- Graduation and completed or pursuing the final year of a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education.
- Graduation with 50% marks and completed or enrolled in a 1-year B.Ed program.
- Graduation with 45% marks and pursuing or completing a 1-year B.Ed (as per NCTE norms).
- Senior Secondary with 50% marks and pursuing or completed a 4-year B.El.Ed or B.A/B.Sc.Ed.
- Graduation with 50% marks and completed or enrolled in a 1-year B.Ed (Special Education).
