DIET, Banka is a state-government runned institute under the aegis of NPE in Bihar. It’s affiliated to the Bihar School Examination Board (BSE), Patna approved by NCTE (Eastern Region) Bhubaneswar. Under the section 14 (1) of NCTE Act, 1993 as a primary teacher training college in 2012 for conducting D.El.Ed program for maximum of 50 students. Later, in the year 2013, this institute got upgraded to a DIET institute.

About DIET
DIET or District Institute of Education and Training was established under the recommendation made by the National Policy of Education (NPE), in 1986. These institutes are decentralized tools in the education system to elevate both the quality and competent of aspirants teachers at primary and secondary schools or educational levels.
The first DIET to be set up in India was in the state of Tamil Nadu during the year 1988. Currently, there are more than 600 DIETs across India (State and Union Territories).

- Applicant should be resident of Bihar State / pursued any course or college under a Bihar School Examination Board.

Qualification for Entry
DIET Banka which offers a 2-year D.El.Ed programme to pre-service and in-service trainees of primary school. You can take admission through online mode.
- The minimum qualification for entry is 10+2 passed from recognized Board / Institute in India with an average of 50%. A relaxation of 5% are given to SC/ST/PWD candidates.
- The minimum age must be 17, there is no upper age limit.
